Thank you so much for visiting my site. My name is Keith and I live in northeast Indiana. It is not the most exciting place to live, but I enjoy what I do and the live in my life here. Since my graduation from college (a long time ago), I have been truly Blessed with the ability to have worked in many, many different careers, jobs and industries. My background is much more than just education and academia. It is really a blend of various careers, experiences and the people I have encountered. This, truly friends, is the best form of advice and mentoring you can get. I’m authentic and caring. My passion is to help and advice. To help you become an even better version of yourself. I believe every student deserves someone who genuinely believes in them, sees their potential, and is committed to helping them discover a future filled with purpose, confidence, and opportunity.
Although I have traveled throughout the United States and lived in various places, I notice that no matter where you go, young people are always in need of guidance, motivation and leadership in their young lives.
I have done a lot and now I want to share with others what I know. For the past 15 years, I’ve worked in several industries and jobs. Not because I couldn’t do the work, but because I just couldn’t find anything that truly fit my talents and interests. Happiness is a key component to being professionally and financially successful. Through the various experiences that I have had in my past jobs I really benefit from my background, experiences and knowledge. Recently I worked as a college recruiter and for the last 6 years have worked directly with high school teenagers and young adults in teaching them how to make the right choice when it comes to future work. I never realized just how well I work with young people and how successful I can be to ensuring their own success.
I have established a reputation with teens, teachers and administrators with my energetic and interactive way of inspiring teenagers to make the right choices in life, more specifically when it comes to choosing the right career. Most young people do what they “should” do, or what their friends are majoring in, in college. I’ll take that theory, but implement your own interests, skills and talents first.
I have an amazing speaking ability that not only motivates and inspires people to act, but in an energetic and funny format, I’ll provide you with a real-world and genuine experience.
Through various workshops like resume writing, scholarship searching and goal setting for leaders, I work with small and large group of students AND parents to understand the career and college search process. It takes someone with knowledge and experience, and I have it.
I created A Better Version Career Counseling to help high school and college students gain clarity, confidence, and direction for their future. I help students who feel unsure about their future develop a clear plan for college, careers, internships, and job readiness.
Many students feel overwhelmed when thinking about careers, college decisions, resumes, interviews, internships, and life after graduation. My goal is to make that process feel less confusing and more manageable by helping students better understand themselves, explore meaningful career paths, and build practical skills for success.
Through personalized coaching, assessments, career exploration, resume guidance, interview preparation, and goal planning, I help students take confident next steps toward their future.
I believe career development is not just about choosing a job — it’s about helping students become a better version of themselves through growth, self-awareness, preparation, and purpose.
